Our Holiday Plans

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for registering to journey with us via the blog.  We trust that we can make it interesting for you and to take you to see places and people that are not part of the every day experience at home.

Our journey will be between July 21st and August 11th, though our reports are sure to be a day or three out of kilter with the actual itinerary.

Just to reiterate, it's Zurich first for 4 days, then across to Basel to commence our 7 day Rhine cruise. After a few days in Amsterdam, it's train to Paris, concluding with a few days in that glorious city before flying back to Melbourne.

If you haven't registered then you can visit at any time to see our progress by using this address:

Just to whet your appetite whilst we fly Melbourne>Bangkok>Zurich you might like to read in more detail and see the short video for the Rhine Cruise by clicking here:

Having cruised the Danube with the same company in 2012 we know we'll be in for a fun time (in fact some of the video was shot on that cruise) and we'll have the same tour director. We'll be endeavoring to bring some of that fun and fabulous scenery to you via this blog.

This is where we begin the holiday - Zurich! And that's our hotel in the bottom left of the photo.

With a "Yo-dle-oddle-lee" and the ring of a trusty cowbell, it will sure be nice to have those old world cobblestones once more beneath the feet, enjoy the smell of freshly made Swiss chocolate floating in the air and a return to the blissful 1970s with the taste of genuine Swiss cheese fondue!!!!

MMMmm with that sort of promise I bet you can't wait for the first report later in the week...

  1. Sorry to hear about the trauma re missing tickets. Could have been a nightmare, so congratulations on staying calm! You've passed on some great travel tips. You've probably left Bangkok airport now and you'll be heading to Zurich. Go Pete and Col!!! D&D
